Terms of Use.
Rules for using the Ethos A.I website and pre-launch services while the product is still in development.
Effective date: August 2, 2026 · Last updated: August 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ethos A.I website at ethosai.dev and the pre-launch services offered through it (collectively, the “Website”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
Where you are asked to affirmatively agree — for example, by checking a consent box when submitting the launch-update form once it is connected to a real backend — your submission constitutes acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Consent boxes are not pre-checked.
2. About Ethos A.I LLC
This Website is operated by Ethos A.I LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Idaho, United States. References to “Ethos A.I,” “we,” “us,” and “our” in these Terms refer to Ethos A.I LLC and the Ethos A.I brand. Ethos A.I LLC is an independent company and is not a subsidiary, division, or product of any other company.
3. Website and Pre-Launch Status
Ethos A.I is currently in development. There is no commercial software product available for purchase, download, activation, or installation through this Website today. These Terms currently apply primarily to Website access, launch-update signup, contact-form correspondence, publicly-available information, and other pre-launch services. They are not a final End-User License Agreement (EULA) for any commercial Ethos A.I software product.
A separate EULA and any product-specific privacy, security, purchase, refund, and support terms will be published before the Ethos A.I software is offered for purchase or download. Nothing in these Terms should be read as licensing or promising any specific software, feature, price, release date, or supported hardware.
4. Eligibility
The Website is intended for a general adult audience. Launch-update signup is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. The Website is not directed to children under 13. By using the Website, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction and that you will comply with them and all applicable laws.
5. Permitted Website Use
You may access and use the Website for lawful, personal, or internal-business informational purposes, including reading published content, reviewing product plans, submitting a launch-update signup, and contacting us through the channels described on the Contact page.
6. Prohibited Website Conduct
When using the Website, you agree not to:
- violate applicable law or the rights of others;
- attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Website without permission, or attempt to breach any security or authentication measure;
- use automated systems (scrapers, bots, spiders) in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the Website or where prohibited by these Terms or applicable law;
- interfere with or disrupt the Website's normal operation, or transmit malicious code;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Website, related systems, or accounts;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- submit content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable;
- use the Website to send unsolicited bulk messages, phishing messages, or other unlawful communications;
- unlawfully collect personal information about others through the Website;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from any Website functionality, except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
See the Acceptable Use Policy for the broader rulebook that will apply to the future Ethos A.I software.
7. User Responsibility
Because Ethos A.I is being designed to operate on hardware users control, users remain responsible for how they configure and operate any Ethos A.I software once it is available. This includes responsibility for their hardware, operating system, network, connected applications, configuration, permissions, files and data, backups, account credentials, local security, external services they choose to connect, the commands they approve, their own legal compliance, and the outputs they choose to act upon.
Running software locally does not transfer responsibility for a user's conduct to Ethos A.I LLC. See the User Responsibility section of the Acceptable Use Policy for more detail.
8. Intellectual Property
The Ethos A.I name, the Ethos A.I logo, the Website's visual identity, its text, graphics, imagery, code, and layout are protected by intellectual property laws to the extent permitted by law. Except for content you have provided and any content licensed to us from third parties, Ethos A.I LLC or its licensors own the Website and its contents.
Trademark rights in “Ethos A.I” are being asserted through use of the brand. This Website does not claim a federal registered trademark, and the ® symbol is not used because a registration is not confirmed. Nothing on the Website should be read as granting a license to use any Ethos A.I name, logo, or trademark without our written permission, except for fair use permitted by law.
9. User Submissions
If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, or other communications (through the launch-update form, email, or any other channel), you grant Ethos A.I LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them to develop and improve Ethos A.I, without obligation or compensation to you. Please do not send us any information you consider confidential or proprietary.
You represent that any content you submit is yours to share and does not violate the rights of any third party.
10. Launch Update Communications
If you provide an email address through the launch-update signup once that form is connected to a real backend, you agree to receive occasional launch-related updates from Ethos A.I. You may unsubscribe at any time through the unsubscribe mechanism in each message. Consent to receive launch updates is separate from any future software license, and you are not required to accept unrelated future software terms to be on the launch-update list. See the Privacy Policy for how signup information is handled.
Today, the launch-update signup is a marked development placeholder and does not store or transmit submissions. When that changes, this Website and the Privacy Policy will be updated.
11. AI Information & Demonstrations
Any AI-related content, examples, capabilities, screenshots, or descriptions on this Website are for informational and illustrative purposes about a product in development. They do not constitute a commitment that any specific feature will be included, will function as shown, or will be available in any particular edition. Please see the AI Output & Accuracy Disclaimer and Responsible AI pages.
12. No Professional Advice
Content on the Website is provided for general information only and is not medical, legal, financial, tax, investment, employment, safety, or other professional advice. AI-generated output shown or referenced on this Website is not professional advice either. You should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The Website may link to third-party websites and services that are operated independently. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, terms, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites. Links to third parties do not imply endorsement, ownership, partnership, or common control. Any third-party company, brand, or website referenced from this Website is an independent business unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Future Ethos A.I software may support or interoperate with open-source models, third-party models, third-party libraries, or optional connected services. Those components may have their own licenses, capabilities, limitations, and terms, and Ethos A.I LLC does not create or own every model it may support.
14. Privacy
Information handled through this Website is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it before using the Website. When the future Ethos A.I software becomes available, a separate product-specific privacy notice will be published before it ships.
15. Website Availability
We do not guarantee that the Website will be available at any particular time or from any particular location, or that any planned launch date will be met. We may update, change, suspend, remove, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties Legal review required
THE WEBSITE AND ALL PRE-LAUNCH MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ETHOS A.I LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT ANY FUTURE LAUNCH DATE, FEATURE, COMPATIBILITY, OR SUITABILITY FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION EXCLUDES OR LIMITS ANY WARRANTY OR RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED.
17. Limitation of Liability Legal review required
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL ETHOS A.I LLC OR ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH: (a) YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE WEBSITE; (b) RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED OUTPUT REFERENCED OR SHOWN ON THE WEBSITE; (c) MISUSE OF THE WEBSITE BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY; OR (d) ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS OR EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT MAY NOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
18. Indemnification Legal review required
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ethos A.I LLC and its representatives from and against reasonable claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: your unlawful use of the Website; your intentional misuse of the Website; your material violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; infringement caused by content you submit; unauthorized access or activity you initiate; or your violation of third-party rights.
19. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Website or its users.
20. Changes to Website and Terms
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate. Your continued use of the Website after an update indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Governing Law Legal review required
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Venue, dispute-resolution, arbitration, and class-action provisions have not been finalized and will be added following legal review. Nothing in this section overrides mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction that apply notwithstanding this choice of law.
22. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
23. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Responsible AI policy, and AI Output & Accuracy Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and Ethos A.I LLC concerning the current Website and pre-launch services, and supersede any prior understandings on that subject. These Terms do not replace, and are separate from, any future End-User License Agreement, purchase terms, or product-specific agreements that will apply to the commercial Ethos A.I software when it becomes available.
24. Contact Information
